XSI human sdk rig tutorials?

Hey I'm playing around with the valve male human sdk rig and eventually want to skin it to a character model... but the rig while looking pretty basic on the surface has all these locked dummies etc...

I'm new to XSI so this may be me not being in the right mode or something, but I'm wondering if it's soemthing else...

I searched the forums and looked at the tutorial thread and couldn't really find what I'm looking for. I also searched the valve wiki..

so to make it short does anyone know of any documentation on the following

-details on how the valve character rigs work
-maybe a short tutorial on skinning a custom model to a valve rig (this would probably help the most)
-general HL2/Source specific rig information

currently learning xsi stuff, but I would really appreciate if someone could point in the direction of this Source/HL2 specific information

does anyone know of any other forums than this and verc then?



I managed to figure out how to weight a model to a rig without a tutorial.. can't believe I did it on the first try, but I really need the holes in the process fleshed out, especially on things on how to have more accuracy for things like finger weighting
