XSI problem

I'm having an odd problem with XSI. Earlier today, I was able to unselect points by clicking on another, and selecting multiple by holding Ctrl. Though, now, for some reason beyond me, it won't unselect anything, even after I go back into object mode by pressing SPACE. Any ideas?

EDIT: It seems to have changed after I installed the plugin for Half-Life 2.

you can unselect byt doing ctrl-shift-a i think it has changed the settings because of the things selected in select on the right. extended commonet selection should be off. also when i hold ctrl and click on sumthin it selects a whole row of things.

Ah, thank you. I unchecked extended commonet selection, and it works the way it did before.
