Alright. That bastard computer, after another healthy supply of problems is all nice and working, internet and all. I could have had it much much much sooner, but I began to get sluggish with it and would work on it, then leave it for a few days to a week. It still has a few bugs and problems that I need to ask about, but I'm too lazy to ask about them at the moment. The day after tommorow would be my soonest chance if I don't now, though. And I'm quite sure Qonfused will be turning up here as soon as he sees this; I know he's going to want to say a few things..
I know most of you don't really... like... care about me, but once I have Counter-Strike and such up, I'd like to play with some people on here.

It's fast. :)

Actually, all I have to say is: finally.

Seriously, his was a pain and he trying to "help" via voice a webcam is kinda hard. But it was fun for me and I know Danny's happy.

"he trying to help via voice a webcam"? I think you had a few typos there, it doesn't really make too much sense. :)

Fun most of the time, but you got pissed off at me a few times.

And those wireless drivers still give me nightmares...

I havn't installed Half-Life 2 yet, so there aren't any Steam files to validate :). Alright, bed for me.

Wow that PC is insane dude, don't break it trying to fix it is my only advice.

Thank you. It took a while to get the money for it. I don't need to fix anything with the hardware, that's working great. It started the first time I pressed the button. The problem is with the internet. I got the drivers, got the internet up, but it can't connect to anything like MSN, AIM, server type things. That also means I can't activate Windows. :|

I'm pretty sure the reason it won't do that is because it's connected on Local Area Connection. :). Another one that isn't connected says 1934 connection or 1394 connection. Do you guys have any ideas how I can get it onto the wireless network we have set up for our house? The cable's hooked up to the DSL box and everything.

The ad above me says I have a message waiting, so I need to go check that out. LOOOOLOOLOOOOLOLOLOLOLOL!

... the hell?

And activating Sli took the click of a button. It's been exhausted that I'm a silly pc buildin' nubnub, so rather than making irrelevant comments, does anyone know their way around well when hooking up internet?

Why am I bothering? At this point, everyone is probably completely ignoring a hardware thread when they see "DannyC."...

my SLI doesnt work

Ohhh, I thought you were mocking me. I don't if I can help, but in case I can, once I installed the drivers for my video card, a little bubble popped up in the bottom right and said 'Your computer is now able to use Sli. Click here to activate Sli now.' Or something along those lines. Did you install the drivers for your card?

Qonfused, who you asked for, doesn't use Sli I don't think, so I dunno if he would know. There's a chance he might, though.

well i know NOTHING! i got two identical cards but nvidia mocks me and tells me to remove any cards that are not SLI compatible.... which they are :(

Your video cards should have come with driver disks (both the same one, obviously). Did you install them?

Well, damn. That sucks. I dunno if this forum is getting very low traffic or being ignored or what, but you might go get some answers on the Steam f- *looks around nervously* Steam forums because I know they have a hardware section. Someone might help you.

I'm not trying to push you out of the way, but I need my problem fixed, too guys. Mine has a deadline, as well... need to activate Windows in 23 days.

Yeah, I could have done that, I saw the option, and mabye I should, but I don't like phones. I was just going to add it to the internet problem. And blarg all of it. I'll activate it by phone, and try to get my net problem sorted with my own crafty ways. Have you got help for your Sli?

If I contact them by phone, won't they go and contact my pc online to activate it? Because that's my problem... I can't establish a connection with them to activate it. Meh.

no
u dont need an internet connection, they give u a code to type in and its activated.

Oh, cool, ok. Sorry about your Sli. Someone will probably see this and help eventually. Or in your other thread. 70 views and me, you, and Qonfused are the only ones who have posted anything. :|

I have two cards because everything moves super-smooth and has ultra-gnarly graphics settings and resolution.

Yes.
