You really should get a point for blowing ubers away with farting gun

Think about it, you are a pyro defending a point.. all the engies have their equipment at the point, then an uber comes running around the corner just about to blow everything up and probably steal the point... So you blow him and the medic away with your incredible farting gun and save the day. What do you get for this? Nothing! As a Pyro it's hard enough to top the leaderboard!

Cue someone to reply saying that I'm wrong and the Pyro does get points for this, but I'm sure you don't get anything.

Whilst I'm moaning.. I'd also like to moan about things that block your shot in a Sniper scope that really shouldn't be there: Why do you need to see the 'BLU' or 'RED' above cap points in the Sniper scope? This blocks your shot at the end of Gravel Pit (I think?) when you try to Snipe the platform to the left at the final point. And why does a Sniper (or any other class other than medic) have to see the symbol when ppl call for medic? It's annoying when it obscures a shot and you just don't need to see it!

How about the satisfaction of blocking an uber? The scoring system is already rather robust and rewards good play pretty well, of course it isn't going to be able to judge the effectiveness of every action.

As a Pyro it's hard enough to top the leaderboard!

If your talking about the little speech bubble with the health-symbol in it... I've never seen it when I haven't played medic :S
 
You shouldnt get a point, however if you have recently pushed them and after the uber runs out they die, you should get an assist.

Only if they fall off something high enough to kill them so their uber goes off part way down and kills the medic at the bottom or something. Then you should get a point for a kill.

Otherwise just assists
 
Would make a pretty good achievement though.


...if someone is falling almost directly on top of you, say from the roof of B in Gravel Pit, can you 'juggle' them with the compression blast?
 
I think if you actually manage to separate the Medic from his target, -that- should give you a point. Just pushing them both back is only occasionally helpful and only with the slower-moving / short-range classes.

Well I definetly recall medic bubbles floating around my sniper scope... so unless they've changed it already, you're wrong.
 
The cap symbols don't block anything at all.

Why should snipers get that advantage? LOS is something that effects everybody. And if you're having trouble spotting targets through an obstacle, you should work around it.

Also, I don't ever recall seeing medic calls as anything other than a medic. So sounds like a problem on your end or in your mind.

Snipers are the only ones disadvantaged by it. As a soldier/demo/heavy you can just fire through it without being so particular about aim. With a Sniper, it's awful hard to get a headshot through a sign saying 'BLU'.

Well I looked through the options and see nothing to disable it. And today when I wasn't medic saw everyones medic bubbles, so it is not a figment of my imagination.
 
It's some sort of bug. If you've played Medic Class, then you switch to another class, sometimes you keep seeing the medic bubbles.

Then it's a problem on your end or a bug, because I just played a few rounds of TF2 earlier today and never saw a single one.

Even if the scoring system added points for force-pushing ubers there will always be scenarios that over-reward or under-reward players, at a certain point you just have to forget about point-rewards and just play the game.

They have him right in the middle in points/hour. With the second highest kills & assists per hour but the second lowest lifespan I think it's safe to say that the pyro does a lot of damage without living very long. So to get a highscore as pyro you just have to play smart and live, I don't usually have a problem with this but then I love flanking so maybe I've got more practice?

My point was it's an obstacle that Snipers just have to deal with. I, for one, don't have a problem with making it hard for Snipers to get headshots near cap points - you'll notice most points are under cover probably for this reason anyway.

It must be a bug like Jintor said, it's definitely not meant to be like that.
