Zombie Headcrab Zombies?

Do/Could zombies exist in the Half Life 2 universe? Zombies right now are not really zombies, but walking corpses with head crab parasites. This way, they are not real zombies, but headcrabs who have attached themselves to a body. What about regular zombies? Just walking dead. I'm thinking that this could fit into the Half Life universe somehow. And what about Undead Headcrab Zombies.. a synthesis of the two?

Even as a zombie afficionado myself, i can't find any plausible way of shoehorning the undead into the halflife universe
