The company who made this book is called Future Press, and that specific Half-Life connection section isn't quoted from anywhere as it seems. It' a pretty detailed section. There's no information were they get their info from, it seems to be directly from Valve. About 25 people in the Valve...
Let me point out that I love Valve, since they unleashed Half-Life in 1998, and I'm happy the Portal series has enthralled me almost as much.
For you who has eyes on the Valve store every now and then I just want to recommend any serious Valve fan to get a copy of the 384 page Portal 2...

Excited as friggin' hell! The game looks beautiful, love the abandoned/destroyed setting, though most of the footage is probably placeholders to show of the new dynamics. At the moment I'm really interested to see how that room/apartment in the trailer (0:40) fits in the game, as well as Wheatly...
I absolutely LOVE abandoned/destroyed environments, especially when you have been in them before they were destroyed. Holy shit, this is gonna be good :D
I both agree and disagree. I always liked Valve for being as mysterious as G-Man himself. Not just pumping out pointless screens, facts and whatnot, but I feel a tiny status update would be rather fair at this point. Valve have always been quiet about their own progress, but when they drop...
