It's obviously some kind of running joke . . . Biozeminades never really existed. But it looks like even Valve got in on the fun.
Unless there's a massive cover-up conspiracy going on. :naughty:
Makes sense to me - if you agree with the theory that the Combine enslaved the Xen aliens - that they invaded Xen for their teleport technology. Since they seem to have some difficulty making them work. Even human scientists are farther ahead with this, than the Combine. Odd, isn't it...
I hope HL3 takes place, at least in part, on an alien Combine world. Or maybe even back on Xen again. Give us some cool, creepy levels like those. Take whatever worked in the Xen levels in HL1, and apply them to HL3. (The weird alien lifeforms, the creepy sound atmosphere, the endless void...
No, I don't think so. The Combine Overwatch soldiers are basically still human. I don't think they've been modified so extensively, that they can't breathe oxygen any more.
I think it's more the fact that eventually, the Combine were probably going to change the atmosphere of Earth so it...
Well, he's a pragmatist. He's not a goody-goody enlightened being. Just someone who gets the job done. In the end, his actions benefit more than harm. In the process, he sometimes he has to resort to some more . . . unpleasant . . . methods to make everything turn out right.
And if he...
Yeah, I agree. I was thinking the same thing. Also, I'm wondering if the G-Man could be compared to the Star Child in 2001: A Space Odyssey.
The Star Child is supposed to be a representative of some supreme alien intelligence/God and makes sure things unfold as they should, properly...
I remember Doug Lombardi saying in interviews that the three-way power sturggle going on in HL2 between all the races wouldn't be clear-cut, and you would have difficulty in deciding who was morally right or wrong.
Well, the Vortigaunts - to me - seemed like non-entities. They were just...
Since Valve didn't change the model for the pulse rifle, when it loads ammo you can clearly surmise that the "ammo" was originally meant to be a flare, as seen in the Tunnels bink. How can a cartridge spit out multiple rounds of pellets?
A shame about all the stuff cut out, yes. But still a...
D'oh! I see it now . . . yeah, it's leaning against the pole. But my first impression was that it was being lifted. My mistake. Sorry.
Well I guess I'll have to use the enhanced gravity gun when I play again . . . heh.
