I think it's pretty obvious they're not going to make a game called Half Life 2: Episode 3.
They're going to code a new engine, bring out Half Life 3, continue the story and blow our minds in doing so. It's the Valve way.
I've been thinking about this for a while now and there is certainly an argument both ways.
On the one hand, if you end it all at Episode 3, Half-Life will become Legend for all-time.
On the other, if Valve continues the saga, we get to play more Half-Life!
I, for one, wouldn't mind seeing...

If Gman left Alyx to die in the explosion at the end of HL2, why is he so interested in her now? What have i missed?
Phew, ok, so gabe has said that Half Life will continue beyond Episode 3.
That's good because i was thinking "how are they going to wrap this whole thing up in one episode. Still so many questions unanswered!"
