My first attempt at the cut Hydra for a Half Life film I'm making.

Suggestions?

For anyone who doesn't know what the hydra was. a scrapped monster, mostly due to technical issues. Says so in raising the bar.
 
A Hydra. What did you expect it to be?
 
Please add a decent shader to the skin if the hydra, a bit of phonging and stuff, and bumpmapping..and it'll be fine..
 
It's actually the 2nd thing I've ever made in XSI. I'm learning very quickly.

I can't play - my computer apparently doesn't support DirectDraw or Direct3D becuase my LCD can't go into 640x480 16-Bit color.

edit: nvm, it seems to work now.
 
i was trying to reinstall it last week, but i left my LOD cd at home! I have the v1.0 d2 discs and v1.07 LOD cd, I always mess up the install process..because I think you can't update before installing LOD otherwise it gives you errors. I think...
 
Its not bad portal. I think Hydra's are supposed to have three heads? I'm not an expert in ancient shizze mind you.

Anyway, add some shading, bumpmapping and shit.
 
it always pissed me off that hydra had a casting delay and the assassin's traps don't. They're both the same damn thing, but one of them has a casting delay?!
