2 new Far Cry games announced, no pc versions

Yeah, the worst part of Far Cry were the Cyberdemon wannabes. Fighting the mercs was awesome though and the mutant monkeys were pretty cool. I'm very irritated that all of these new games are console exclusive. I mean WTF? I hope they make a Far Cry 2 that's PC exclusive on that awesome new Cryengine they showed.

Far Cry 2 on cryengine 2 is nearly impossible. Ubisoft has the rights on far cry while EA is the new publisher of crytek and it´s cryengine 2. The new game on cryengine 2 will be crysis which will be released in (late?) 2006. The screens of new far cry franchises are all done on (a modified?) cryengine 1.

Yup, I look forward to seeing Crysis, albeit with EA you never know how shitty games can get, but anyway..
If it has the same graphics as the DX10 "techdemo" for the CryEngine 2, then I'll have a ****ing orgasm, that techdemo alone convinced me to buy a Vista(My 3 year old computer needs to be replaced anyway tho.)

Do you think you need Windows Vista to play Crysis? IMO it will run on a PC with WindowsXP and DX10 installed -or have you heard decent facts?
I´m hoping for news on crysis soon. It´s very quiet for a game which should be released in 2006. Anyway it is one of my most-wanted games for this year, along with ET quake wars, gothic 3, prey, twilight princess (and UT2007)...

Well mate, DirectX 10 won't be able to be run under Win XP, it will be Vista only, you can Google for "DirectX 10 API overview", and you'll get several articles detailing this, so either it's Vista only, or it supports DX9 to..

I certainly enjoyed some parts of Far Cry, most especially Fort, Treehouse, Boat and Dam. Those levels were pretty awesome, for the most part. Shame the rest of the game was fairly mediocre. Last level sucked too.
