I want to export my models i've been making and then get them to work in halflife 2 or gmod.

Any help please?

I saw the toolkit, and i've tried that about a year in a half ago and got everything except the .phy file... :[

Maybe someone could help me with my problem?

Start from making model and what needs to be done, to exporting then to compile and put in game?

Help please, I beg of you. :[

eh, ive imported models in from hl2..
maybe it may work reverse??

well, if it does, you can save your model as an smd file, then use a decompiler to convert it to an mdl file. then, convert your textures and normals into the vtf format. after which i think, you can put them into the gcf decompiler and spawn them?
 
So I pretty much save it as a .smd theres no plug in for 3ds max 8 i need to save as a .smd?
 
do you need a link for the converters and plug ins? i can give them to you.
 
Yes I do, I use 3d studio Max 8. Now all I do is export my object I make into .smd and then use tool kit?
 
there is a whole 3dsmax half life 2 community out there, i just found out..

hey i was wondering umm when i import my smd files in to 3d max why is it that i only get half the model like the guns from css and stuff
