You may think your being considerate posting threads with "Warning to all 56kers" or something like that in the title, but you aren't, you still posted a thread that is practicaly unreadable to us. I can understand 2 or 3 moderatly sized pics in a thread but it is easier for you and for us (and not that much trouble for everyone else) if you just post a link to the damn pics rather than using the IMG tags.

I was on dialup. And look guys, phones are everywhere -- cables broadband is not (like my situation). We just got cable about 6 months ago and it's been great.

Actually, I think Ireland doesn't have many services that offer broadband. Most of the people there have 56k

Actualy pretty much all the towns have it now I think. I just live 10 miles from one.

Broadband aint around here either. Really Sucks. I don't mind if a thread says "Warning 56kers", I can always stop it and read the text and look at the images later. Plus I have patience I can let the images load up while im doing something else, aint really that big of a deal to me.

The great thing about living in a tiny country is that there's (fairly) cheap broadband everywhere 25mbps for $70/month, whereever you are. Anyway, 56k isn't that bad, if you've ever tried surfing the net at my school you'll know what i mean. The entire school shares a single 1.5mbps connection (that's 4 times slower than my personal home connection that's only being used by 1 computer), and at any time there'll be 50 people playing WoW, so you can imagine how much bandwidth there's left over.

6 months ago when my internet connection was nearly half the speed of that I diden't really give a shit.
