a few post-HL2 questions

well, 1st of all...best game ever.
the citadel episodes made me crap myself multiple times

but i actually have a question that is not "WHO IS GMAN?!?!OMGWFTBBQ?!"

i remember seeing a video of ravenholm, but there were combine and gorgon was taking them all out with a big dumpster and stuff like that. Also, i remember seeing pics of some blue "tentacle" stabbing combine.

i just finished the most deceiving linear game ever made and somehow i missed both of those parts!

I read the model and scripts for it were buggy or it's possible they didn't finish it and didn't feel it was an important part of the game to wait for it. There is a mod that shows some of the E3 chapters and adds some of the guns & things back. Very buggy and not complete. It's called Missing Information.

As the game was extremly far to be finished the 30 september 2003, the day it should be published, Valve certainly had to scrap a lot of things to be able to finaly deliver it more than one year later!
I guess that everything taht was not 100% working was scraped so they could finalise the game not to late and not be hit by the DNF syndrome!
The game that was said to be from 20 to 50 hours of gameplay finaly ended to be 8 to 15.
