Hi all. I am a Gamecrazy employee. For those who don't know, Gamecrazy is a store that sells console games and systems. However, we do sell big PC titles, such as *gasp* Half-Life 2.
I decided to preorder HL2 CE today. When I checked the database, I found out that the CE is listed at $59.99. I figured Gamecrazy is not too up to date about PC prices (I think we started selling Doom 3 for 49.99, when it was really 54.99). Still, you might be able to get the CE 20 bucks cheaper at Gamecrazy.
A good trick would be to ask how much the CE would be. If the store associate says "60 bucks," ask them if they're sure. When they say yes, preorder it and leave. When you come to pick it up, and it ends up being 80, just complain, saying that the guy told you it was 60 bucks (get the guy's name, and remember it.) I'm sure you won't get anyone in BIG trouble, and you'll get the CE for 20 bucks cheaper.
