That's what I thought. It's probably why the people are rebelling. The Combine are destroying the city to neutralise the alien threat and people, unsuprisingly, dont like this. That's my idea anyway.

On another note, when i used the /noclip cheat in HL it really ruined the game for me dont know why, just makes it look really tacky. I'l make sure i dont do the same for HL2 unless there's a good easter egg somewhere

Half-life seemed real but when you noclip, its like going to the set of your favourite TV series and seeing the actors in their normal clothing and the two walls without roof that makes out the room on TV.

Indeed. Wouldn't be a hard mod to create either. Make a couple of maps, make some background steam-images, make some arena maps... And enable no clip and a crowbar for all...
