A quick suggestion

I think it would be worthwhile if valve created an mmofps after doing half life 3 (when average system specs and connection speeds can handle it). Something along the lines of combine vs resistance (vs mutant zombies?) for control of the earth. No other worlds cos the last portals have been destroyed and everyone is fighting for survival. Or something.

They could even do some classes - engineers making all manner of planes trains and automobiles, medics, people who shoot things... perhaps they could get cities other than city 17 involved. all with their own back stories and balances of power (though obviously 17 (well its ruins and surrounding area) would be most important). raids on black mesa for tech? G-man hunts?

all in a world which is clearly linked and complete - you can fly from one end to the other etc etc.

Lastly everyone has a gravity gun - imagine the constructions!

Course if they don't want to do it they could hand it to the community...

Didn't know there was such thing as a MMOFPS so i just assumed it was a MMORPG. But still, they should continue what they are doing which is Half-Life with neat add-ons, thats what they are best at

That's also the only thing they've tried.

I think it would be utterly ****ing tragic if Valve got pigeonholed into one single genre like id has, not extending their potential to other genres.
