Well to make this thread more than just spam, i would like to know how other sites and forums allow scan links and such. Like in gamespot i saw mad links and noone cared.

Sites like Gamespot and Gamespy appear to have high resolution pictures of what appeared in the magazines. These haven't officially been released by Valve and therefore we're uncertain of their origin. As we're unsure we're not going to be posting these ourselves, however I'm sure everybody by now is aware of their existance and has already viewed them somewhere.

I really don't go to any other sites for HL2 stuff, but im pretty sure they don't really make any attempt to stop the linkage.

my guess is that "the VERC" works for the g-man and has uber-elite powers and therefore has the right to deem things "legit" some think "the VERC" is Gabe Newell's mother.
