I just wanted to make a small point about the g-man, i initially posted this in a thread discussing the game at Half-Life Fallout Forums:

http://www.hlfallout.net/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=21&t=21382&st=210#entry427333

Everyone seem to assume that the "highest bidder" involves, money. It might just be an odd way of saying something else.

For instance if g-man where an indiviual who values morale, the highest bidder would be the emplyer who ensures the most moraly correct end result.

Where he interested in destroying the combine, the employer would be who ever facilitates such an event.

If he was interested in power, he would choose who ever could provide him with such.

And whos to say hes not hes own employer and just makes an attemt at some theatricals :P

The point here is that the g-man seems like the kind of person who woulndt put money as his currency of choice if you know what i mean. I think he deals in goods, far more important. Money would not make sense in a multiverse anyways, power, technology, influence, even moral values on the other hand, would.

Personaly i favour the idea that there is some "unknown" force, either an alien race, an aliance of various aliens or devine power or whatever, that is after the combine in some way or form. The xen accident being in relation to that. Then maby the combines' attack on earth was unforseen by this "force".

Either way some form of scrip with all the important dialogue, would be handy.

hmm... i'll wait for HL3 and figure i tall out .. :P * hehe *

But yeah... it's all a bit of a mystery.

And you think HL2 will reveal all? O_o
Silly silly fool...

The whole Half-Life-likeness is everything being a mystery, Half-Life will probably end without us knowing who/what he is.

Not that I don't think VALVe have something up their left sleeve.

Or their right one. o_o
