Will this mod and any mods in general corrupt my game at all? Also, how do I back up my HL2 Files?

All the authetic game files are kept in GFC packages in \steam\steamapps\. Any files you put into the subsequent directorys will superceed the base game files untill they are deleted. Corruption is not possible.
Thank you and have a nice day.

No, it will not corrupt any game files, all it does is add .cfg file with a few cmds in it to the hl2>cfg file, to remove it all you have to do is delete the file.

or you could just type "bind b phys_timescale 0.3" in the console and press b for slowmo.

Would any mods in general screw up my game? And if so how do I prevent it or fix it?

I guess you didnt understand my post.

You cannot overwrite the original game files. So all you have to do to remove a mod is delete it. You could delete everything in steamapps\*accountname*\, and all mods would dissapear (savegames too!) leaving you with all the original content.

Ok... in short. If you (not the mod) manage to mess up ur game, all u have to do is copy all ur save files and delete the half-life 2 directory in #urusername# folder in steamapps. Then when u load steam (oh btw i forgot to mention that it would need to be quitted before all this) it will rebuild the folder. But you won't do that, will you? Unless you are entirely stupid and manage to do something crazy like rename all the files in HL2 directory ull be fine. Installing a mod will not damage HL2. It' s not like those far cry demo mods, where it changed half the game. In hl2 each mod has a seperate directory and installation is pretty easy (ie copy and paste easy) and thats it. Go into steam and hopefully it might be listed, else follow instructions.
