I found this little known mod that lets you play from a soldiers point of view in HL1, they called it "Opposing Forces", you could probably google it and find some information.

Now wouldn't it be cool if you could play through the game as one of the Barneys? And then you could have an anti-climactic endind? That would be cool!

I'm just giving you a hard time, there are a lot of great ideas for other black messa stories. Like a star crossed romance with a genetically altered human and a female scientist. And the genetically altered guy would have the ability to slow time, we could have bullet time in a video game!

I should get paid for these ground breaking ideas.

Yeah you have to follow Gordon around, run into some walls then he shoots you when you refuse to climb up a ladder ;(

It said that I despise add-ons because I already shelled out $100 for the damn game and if they're going to add on to the story they should either ship it with the game or give it to us for free in a patch. I'm sick of game companies looking at customers like they're just money machines...

I wouldn't be supprised if it wasnt the mods and just a problem with the forums. All sorts of weird things have been happening to these forums recently. Someone got a PM from themselves, peoples posts appear in the wrong order and even poles being rigged strangely!

Maybe they could twist the storyline during the time gordon was in a coma so that one of scientists have to save him or something....and you're through the eyes of a security guard or something....

Also, through the eyes of a combine would be pretty cool. Or maybe you could be a human, disguised as a combine. Since the whole crazy alien language might be hard to make up a reason for a translator on your screen.

i would like to see an addon where the humans design a weapon to destroy all the aliens but something goes wrong and they all turn in to evil monkeys that throw really sharp bananas at you.......sorry ........
