You have to cross the complete toxic waste pool. The best thing is to use the grav gun and pick up the wooden circular cable holders and place them just in front of you into the toxic waste. They float aand are pretty large so it's easy to jump onto them.

In the middle of the room there is a small island. If you reach this about 8 zombies attack you. Again use the grav gun or teh weapon of your choice to whack them. Continue crossing the room. You will reach normal ground. A pair of pipes comes uo from the floor and forms a small ledge at the wall left to you. Follow it and drop to a hole to your right. Open the door for your squad and continue...
