After HL2

I was wondering what plans valve may have after the release of HL2, im not really taking bout HL3, tf2, cs2 stuff like that. Im thinking more about the way HL had the same story involving different characters, such as opposing force and blue shift, trying to escape to the surface just the same as Gordon is. I was thinking maybe, in much the same was as HL, we will get the chance to play as some of the other characters we will meet in HL2.

maybe we will be barney and shepard again(but shepard I dont think so) or maybe we will be a combine and a alien,I just refer in the possibly expansions we not be in the same side of freeman(like op4)
but in my opinion one of the expansion we are Alyx,cuz is like the second principal character

I think it will depend on how much you see the other characters. If you play through large sections with Alyx and Barney (which I hope you do ), then you'd have to do the same bits again in their stories. I actually hope Shepard does come back, cos I liked Op Force

He stayed in "evaluation" by the G-man when he kills the Race X's "Queen".

i really don't think we will be alyx or barney because they interact too much with gord0on.. in op4 and blueshift, our characters never interacted with gordon in hl1, i'm just saying this because if we were alyx we would not speak, thus gordon would have to speak when we see him, and gordon never never speaks (except in that blueshift replacement that i cant remember the name, but gordon really had a bad voice in there)

YEAH THATS RIGHT!!!!! my heart really jumped with joy when i looked back and saw gordon passing in the train!! man those guys rock!!

Barney is not a character in HL1 but just a name for all the gaurds.

When HL1 was released he was just a name for the guards, but then they realised people liked the guards, so they decided to make the Blue Shift Addon. At this point they decided to use the name barney and created the character Barney Calhoun, who you play in Blue shift and who appears in Barricade Video .

Actually Barney was the name all along(I think) in the audio files and such there is a barney file and it plays all of his audio. I never got "attached" to Barney, I just shot him in the face and took his ammo.
