Hey guys, just a thought: wouldnt the game be more fun if the developers included the hatchlings, young aliens and humans or even eggs.

I think the game would have been more super rich if there were human children running around, getting chased by some alien. Or young barnacles/headcrabs/antlions un hatched eggs etc. hanging around. Squishing these things sounds like fun, specially when their parents protecting them get really pissed after u kill their offsprings :sniper: .

waddya guys think? :P

Human offspring are banned, by the combine.

Though animal babies would be cool.

Oh thank god. I thought you were talking about breeding between humans and vorts. :x

Well… I think it could have added to the horror of the situation if the combine were growing new humans in test-tubes like Huxley’s Brave New World. It’s a really scary book if anyone here hasn’t read it. It’s scary because you could see it really coming to pass. New humans are grown by the government and conditioned from birth not to think for themselves. Conditioned to just enjoy the pleasures of life (physical games, sex, music dancing, etc.) Depending on how much alcohol is added to an embryo during maturation depends on which social class a person is “Decanted” into. A’s having no retardation all the way to D’s being retarded work horses for the A’s. It’s a dystopic nightmare in which we have ceased to be fully human.

Me too! I was prepared to bite my tongue about what I thought of that idea!

I remember founding a beta Half-Life 2 having website , and I saw two models of human children there ( can't remember the website though ) .

Well, I think all the childrens were murdered by the combines to stop the next generation of humans. The memory flashbacks tells it all!!!

Gah, I know what you mean, hehe.

Yep, all human children were banned, the suppression field takes care of that.

in hl1 you see baby aliens. Rember gronach the giant headcrab boss? She shot those little transparent headcrabs at you. And I bet the controllers in the facotry were baby niliaths.

Or maybe they just grew up. :p

There are technically baby antlion grubs in their underground nests. But since you don't visit the nests, you don't see 'em.
In HL1, there were baby headcrabs and in Opposing force there were baby shock troopers and baby voltigores.

That's quite a few right there.

I was thinking the same thing when I read the title.

It would be even funnier if the combine bred with the humans and had little half-castes running around.

the First time i stared at it , i felt the same way too.

And yea, i remember the smaller semi transparent head crabs in the first game. and were pretty annoying. i was just wondering why they didnt include them in the 2nd part. i think The developers should have added some young ones to add more realism and "horror to the situations" as Is This Tea mentioned.

I mean, how do these aliens multilply or surive taht long if they dindnt breed right? :)

After reviewing the title, it gave me that same thought too. dang! thatd be supah disgusting eh? :x

Hey putting in child cruelty would make it an 18s game or even get it banned in some places

Combine baby

Did anyone notice that combine graffiti of a combine holding a curiously strange looking baby?

right outside black mesa east? I had no idea what that meant. Maybe that there are human syphatizers within the cp.

caste:
1. Any of the hereditary, endogamous social classes or subclasses of traditional Hindu society, stratified according to Hindu ritual purity, especially the Brahman, Kshatriya, Vaisya, and Sudra castes.
2. A social class separated from others by distinctions of hereditary rank, profession, or wealth.
3.
A. A social system or the principle of grading society based on castes.
B. The social position or status conferred by a system based on castes: lose caste by doing work beneath one's station.
4. A specialized level in a colony of social insects, such as ants, in which the members, such as workers or soldiers, carry out a specific function.

social status or position conferred by a system based on class; "lose caste by doing work beneath one's station" 2: (Hinduism) a hereditary social class among Hindus; stratified according to ritual purity 3: a social class separated from others by distinctions of hereditary rank or profession or wealth

I think that is the most telling use of the word. The combine are really trying to run society like a hive.
