Alien "mothership" discovered orbiting Saturn!!

Really, you've gotta stop blaming other people. They didn't cause your acne and greasy hair :P

I do agree somewhat though. The universe is full of crazy stuff, and as far as most people can guess, we really haven't seen a fraction of it. Who knows what could exist? What if our ideas of physics and the way the universe works only apply to our small part of it...

Should check out string theory. That's some pretty crazy stuff. They've kinda half proved teh existence of parrallel universes, several other dimensions possible in these universes, and the existence of about eight different forces: We have gravitons, electrons, radiation thingys, and some others... but they rekon there's more.

Totally crazy stuff. But it's being taken very seriously, kinda new age science jobby.

I saw a program on the string theory on PBS.
Interesting stuff indeed.
It was a bit confusing however.

Just read about all that a couple days ago....heres the articles I read.

http://www.mkaku.org/articles/

Michio Kaku is a world famous string theorist.

Strings... hm I never would have thought strings had anything to do with anything.

Isn't the Great Attractor supposed to be a huge superstring somewhere near our local cluster?

I like the Men in Black version.

LOL, too funny. I feel sorry for anyone naive enough to believe that is a spaceship. Whoever wrote that sure has lots of imagination and little knowledge of astrophysics. Cute little conspiracy theory though.

I think the guy has a lot of knowledge of astrophysics
Pretty interesting read. I now know where humans came from

Little knowledge of astrophysics? You have no idea who Hoagland is do you? You think he is just some random guy that couldn't explain a few anamolies, so he made up a lot of shit?

Tell me wise one, what truth in astrophysics that he is unaware of that renders his hypothesis untrue?

And to the rest, it's a pity too few are capable of opening their minds and considering possibilities that are bigger than themselves. I know we have lived on our little blue ball for a long time, and have become accustomed to life here on Earth. But we also must remember that we live in an infinitly larger universe filled to the brim with very strange things we cannot explain or even observe directly. How some people can be so quick to disreguard the unconventional is beyond my ability to understand. Do you really think the universe, in all the billions of years before we even got here, is not capable of producing amazing possibilities. Do you think the entire universe is like planet Earth, and thereby falls under your understanding?

Get a clue people.

yeah...

well, you just killed this thread. And probably jumped up and down on it as well.

....and your point?

I think the real truth that you do not see is the fact that well...

Most of us couldn't give a rats ass if it was some "spaceship".

There are two ways of putting it.

Scientific Hypothesis- Carbon and possibily Silicon life don't need to be limited to water and a atmosphere to survive or even evolve.

Religious Hypothesis- God works in mysterious ways, who's to say it only created life on Earth, you really think it created the universe for no apparent reason.

I'm not saying that that moon is a spaceship, more like an outpost, decaying through seimic, gravitational as well as radioactive intervention or even destroyed by a meteorite or even a weapon.

You would have to truly be a simpleton not to realize the profound implications of such a discovery. I submit that when such a discovery is made and accepted by minstream scientists, the entire shape of our civilization will change almost instantly, and no one will really care if Tron from halflife2.net forums gave a rats ass or not. This is important, even if you dont give a shit.

Yes I know very well who Hoagland is. He's the crackpot that thought there was a face on Mars in the Cydonia region. He was wrong about that too. Don't confuse me with someone that doesn't believe life exists in some form in the infinite galaxy. I firmly believe there is life out there somewhere. I believe that there are many unexplained phenomena that happen out there all the time and many things out there are beyond our current understanding.

I don't believe that the universe is teeming with higher intelligence beings that would waste the incredible amount of resources it would take to make a spaceship the size of a moon. Then after spending a moon's worth of resources and time building a moon sized spaceship, why would these intelligent beings park it near Saturn and leave it there? I'm sure you and Hoagland can come up with some fascinating theories on that as well. Explain how a spaceship that size can have such a small density.

Every single moon we explore and study has something unique and puzzling about it. Guess what, that doesn't mean they're all moon sized spaceships made by intelligent aliens. Nobody has the answers yet about Iapetus. Luckily Cassini has two close flybys scheduled for this moon and we'll all soon see it's not a spaceship. In a few years it will be a mere 622 miles from the surface.

You guys are right though. There is an alien mothership in orbit around Saturn. I mean if there is a moon that displays characteristics we haven't seen in any other moon to date it has to be a spaceship right? Oh yeah and there is a face on Mars.

How is it important?

All I see is some website saying this and that and speculating on what it is.

Yes I do realize the implications if it was, but again I couldn't give a damn.Hell I'm not gonna wake up everyday and think "oh man we found aliens blah blah"...Quite frankley if it doesn't help to improve the hell I'm in right now I don't give a damn.

*gives Tr0n a big ol' hug. hug hug hug hug hug*

But surely, Tr0n, you must realize that, were this true, one of the basic ideas that most people hold -that we are alone in the Universe- would be forever changed. That when we looked up at the night sky, we would know -not hope, not dream, not believe- but actually KNOW that there were beings elsewhere in the universe looking up at the same sky.

Yes I do realize that...I already stated that I understand the implications.

Don't change, let her change :P

You don't know much about women do you?

Not trying to sound mean or anything.

Thats because I have a girlfriend I don't need to ;)
Well each situation is diffrent I guess...I have one also.

Hence me trying to change, because if I don't well...I'm gonna keep doing the same habits over and over (always starting arguments..being insecure..etc.).

Wait...why the hell we talking about our personal lives in a thread about aliens?

Anyways this "moon" is probally nothing more than that....a moon. Not some ufo...

Well I mean my girlfriend tried to make me change, and I just made her accept me for who I was or leave me alone, and she changed in that way :P. But thats nothing really you can change you can't help feeling insecure and shit...Its just you..

Well...I can try and control it.Theres a lot more to the situation then what I have said.

I don't want to go into that tho....we need to get back on topic. :D

Well, its cool, the majority of people have small penis' :P ;).

I don't understand how this guy all of a sudden thought "Hey this could be some alien planet or somethin".

When we found that mountain on mars that looked like a face everyone started jumping to conclusions thinking "omg this could've been left by aliens!".

We shouldn't start assuming it's an alien spaceship or somethin.

 No no...has nothing to do with penis size.Theres just more to the situation then I have stated...which again I feel kinda weird for talking about this on a forum so I'm just gonna stop.

Kind of. Thats just what people believe, its like I can't say theres nothing out there, without someone saying "theres a whole lot of nothing for nothing to exist". Personally, if there is something out there, then theres too much nothing for us ever to bump into each other.
