From the reactions here, I have seen a lot of people are disappointed in Valve right now. Why exactly? Did they ever make a promise they would need to live up to? No. The only thing they (actually Gabe) promised that it would be a great game, and if they would need more time to make it the great game we all want to see, they'll take that time.
The only thing they said about the release, is that they were aiming at september 30th, apparently they didn't make it, but no promises have been broken. They never ever said that they would certainly make that date, never. So what is Valve to blame for? Delaying the game just a week before the date they aimed for? They never said they would make it right? Something could have come up the past week, out of nowhere, a bug, VU being an ass, Steam etc etc
There are tons of good reasons why it could have been delayed so shortly before the aimed release date. And I'm sure it's a good one, because they wouldn't make the decision to delay it with the whole community being pissed just to make more money in the holiday season.
Just wait by blaming anyone until another release date is mentioned and perhaps the reason why it won't come out 9/30. If it's something like "yes we wanted to make more money in the holidays" or "we needed time to delete 85% of the game to make sure the game lasts only 4 hours like most games" THEN you have a reason to blame them, now you haven't got ANY reason to blame them for ANYTHING.
Be disappointed in the fact that's delayed, but don't be disappointed in Valve because of the fact that it's delayed. Or just grow up.
