So I have a 5.1 speaker set up and it works fine and dandy, but if I want to use my headphones, I have to:

right click on the sound icon in the system trey >playback devices > click on speakers > configure > stereo > next, next, finish, ok

And when I want to go back to my speakers, do the same but select 5.1 instead of stereo.
I want to know if there's a way to get the speakers to automatically be in that stereo mode when I plug them in, I'm plugging them in through the volume control thing that came with the speakers. It's just a chore to do this every time I want to use them. If I don't do this, some sounds won't come through (like those that would be allocated to the back speakers), terribly annoying in games.

There might be a way to make 2 batch files to quickly change the mode. CBA to research to see how this would be done, but it's an idea for now.
