Another request for help with "Our Benefactor" SPOILERS

I am at the part where I can see Alyx at the console and Dr. Bremer is getting ready to exit through the portal. I am able to make one good shot with the gravity gun and get a "Yeah" from Alyx. From there I can't figure out what to do next. Seems like whatever I do I fail the mission in about 5 seconds. How do I get through this section? Thanks

Well, with your Organic Gravity Gun, shoot down the Combine ships with the orb things pulsating from those two pillars. Then, after you destroy them, you need to keep shooting those orbs at the thing Breen is in. Destroy the shields until you hit the center, and blam, beat the game.

What malfunction said is right.
I was you in your situation too at first. I think where I went wrong was I took too long getting to the top. This gave Breen plenty of time to ascend into the transporter. It sounds like that is your dilemma. Start over from where Breen starts to rise and haul ass to the top and start working on the gunships. You really only need to take out one of the gunships. Then you can hide from the other while pounding away at the shielding on the trasnporter.
