Is this chapter title a pun on something? I get a feeling I'm missing something here...

It's referring to Freeman. Throughout the game, you're referred to as anticitizen one (esp. in the in-city Canal levels) by Combine communications.

Cool. I could never hear those combine radio messages very clearly.

In other chapter title related questions;
Why is C13 referred to as "Benefactory" in the strat guide but "Our Benefactors" in the game?
And why is "Black Mesa East" so called? You're on the other side of the globe to black mesa!

In other pedantic points;
If the g-man can manipulate time and space etc. why does he bother ordering gordon around when he could do it all easier himself?
And if Alyx re-appears in aftermath, how on earth does she survive *that* ending?

Cool Mod Idea;
Play as Hedy Lamarr and find your way back to Kleiners lab after being transported out at the beginning.

That is all.

I've been thinking that would be a cool mod myself...

as for the questions:
Because the stradegy book might have some errors/old information.
Because its in eastern europe.
No one knows yet, but expect it to be revlealed in HL3.
Probobly the G-mans crazy doings...

:cheers:

Changed the name

Becaus it was set up by scientists from BM

No proof he can
Anticitizen 1 is like the Combine version of America's most wanted

No proof he can
Apart from the fact he always does his deus ex machina thing at the end, and bullets seem to pass right through him, I suppose. As for g-man speculation in general, my theory is that valve didn't really think about who he was meant to be when the put him in; just to add a little mystery to proceedings... although in hl1 he does have a bm briefcase... curious.

Also, is there a mod out/being developed in the style of DoD that pits combine forces versus downtrodden citizens in city 17 locations? That would be kick ass.

And does the opening prove he's a TV flicking between the Black Mesa and Citadel channel.
and bullets seem to pass right through him
like citizens?

Sorry dude, but I didn't understand either of those answers.TV flicking? Huh? Do citizens pass through him? Dunno, never seen him walk past one, although you can see him through a telescope chatting to someone in little odessa. Perhaps cubbage has a secret deal with the g-man? BTW, I thought the end of Hl2 was excellent, unlike many people who found it dissappointing. I just sat there and thought wtf? Can my computer actually do that? Incredible, and a good cliffhanger. Good semi-revelations too.

But what's more interesting is;
Does the G-man have a wife and two kids? Does he drink beer? And where does he buy his suits?;

"He-llo Misterrrr salesssman, I wissshhh to purchassse a cheap gray sssuit. I am sure you will find my prisssse .... reason-able"
"Anything particular in mind, Sir?"
"I'm reaally not at liber-ty to sssay"

TV flicking?
Look at the start again, g-man becomes transparent and you can see the test chamber and then the citadel through him.
Do citizens pass through him?
Bullets pass through citizens.

Anticitizen One is an amusing reference to Orwell's 1984 and newspeak (where all words meaning 'good' were replaced with simply 'good' and anything meaning bad was simply 'ungood'. So a criminal would be an 'uncitizen' or whatever. :E)

What's interesting is that he is sometimes referred to as Anticitizen One, and sometimes as Aniticitizen Freeman.

The chapter anticitizen one is solely about gordon...so i think it needs a more appropriate name.
