Any decent maps ?

Are there any decent maps out except crossfire_b2 (with fixed nuke & ladders) ?
It seems that all of the maps that are out right now is pile of shit, and some of them even use the old HL textures (i.e Datacore & Bounce) ... so are there any good maps that are worth playing ?

im noit diwnloading any customs until some good maps come out. good maps take longer than a week to make. give it a month.

Most of the custom maps I've tried are crap, full of missing textures, crappy spawn points, and horrible weapon placement. I don't understand why people bother to release these.... at least spend some time on it to make it decent

Does anyone know who is making the crossfire maps? Currently, the second one works better as a map, but the first one had better weapon placement (the new one is too sparse).

I like not having TONS of objects so that the map isn't as grav gun dominated, but the map is still a little sparse on objects (something for cover like a broken car would be good in the center deathpit) and map detail (still cold, lifeless gray box rooms.)

people are just trying to be 'the first' to release converted HL1DM maps.

however, as soon as a professionally done remake comes out with all new textures, sounds, skyboxes etc...with proper weapon placement people will just scrap the old crappy ones.

think of these as stop-gap measures till the better remakes come out

i saw bloodgultch from halo made on www.hl2files.com but i couldnt get it to work, but then again i dont know how to play custom maps
it looked nice, they even have the warthog in the game
