Any Way To Void Hl2 Purchase Over Steam

this whole preload process isnt working
it says i have 3.2 gigs of .gcfs file in my directory
without even starting to preload
also.. its updating at ridiculously slow speeds....

any way to void the purchase???

im pretty sure it creates "shells" then it fills thoose shells with game data
