Anybody buying Cities XL 2011?

You know the long awaited Mass Transit system? Well they finally put it in the game. I was tempted to buy the game, but I have no idea how in depth the game is. Does anyone know how much different some of the gameplay elements and whether or not the game is solely singleplayer now.

One thing that I am curious at though is that there is no mention as to Monte Cristo have any desire to add GEMs to this game

This is a totally new version of the game Barnz, Cities XL was originally an MMO stylee city builder which kinda of went tits up and closed down to just a singleplayer game. This version is heavily updated with a new publisher etc.

I really dislike the zoning system and not being able to plan out anything in advance because it's "locked".

Cities XL was terrible, like a mega-casual-ified SC4000.

I thought about prepurchasing this but decided it wasn't worth the risk of making the same mistake twice.

Sim City 4 is okay but it is such a memory hog. It crawls to a standstill with bigger cities. For me at least.
