Christmas is a great time of year because there's usually no worries. School is out, you get days off work, and it's a joyous time where you can simply relax and enjoy yourself.

There's the whole decorating thing. My new job is to do the outside lighting, satisfying stuff. Almost fell off the roof last year, that was fun. :O

There's the good food and family togetherness (true it's kinda like Thanksgiving, but we're not complaining).

Christmas Trees and Snow (these are big in Canada).

Shopping and Gifts (where prices skyrocket).

The whole holiday just makes you happy. It's your reward for having to put up with all the crap of the previous year. (And if you forget to do your shopping, you can always send an IOU to your relatives and buy their gifts on discount the next day. Good old Boxing Day).

I don't get too excited for gifts anymore, but this year I am excited because I'm going to europe. Been a couple of years since I've gone.
