Anyone noticed the size difference?

Anyone noticed that the steam version of hl2 only takes up about just under 850 meg?

Aparently the dvd version takes up a few gig and the only other version apart from the dvd is a 6cd version. Whats up with that? Or am i totaly wrong?

Yeah but source engine - 67mb, source material = 1gb, source models = 460mb and source sounds - 1gb.

Hl2 shares alot of resources with CS:S
