I don't really think their going to worry about checking credit card. They would definitely want you to buy another one, but I say make a new account. Use a new email address. There are millions of free email accounts out there...

You couldn't really upgrade before unless you had an ATI card voucher. They'll be re-enabled when a true upgrade option is avaliable.

Yeah, I tried that. And this is the response I got:

Hello,

We do not currently offer an upgrade, however, this will be an option in the near future. Please check www.steampowered.com intermitently for more information.

So, we'll just have to wait.
