Is there any way to enable the Aero glass effects within VMware? I want to try out the Win 7 Beta on Vmware instead of Duel Booting. I heard that the VMware emulated graphics chip should be able to handle Aero, but you need the drivers or something. Or is there any way i can get VMware just to use my Graphics card?

Not unless you have VMware Workstation. It apparently has 3D rendering support.

That's what i got. I have the latest version of Workstation yet Windows says it can't handle Aero even though it should as it supports DX9.

Two things.

1. You need to enable experimental 3d acceleration for the VM.
2. You need to install Vmware's toolkit thingymajig (vmware tools) that probably doesn't support Windows 7.

2 is probably why you can't get aero. Simply put the Vmware drivers do not support Windows 7.

VMWares 3D support only works with XP guests.
