Holy shit I didn't know that the /b/tards were such a major force.
EDIT: AMFG RICK ROLLED
EDIT2: **** AND I LOST THE GAME

They're not god-damned /b/tards anymore. They're anonymous.

Mebbe. I dont want Scientology to know who I am though :(

Yes, because protesting is retarded and gets no results.

Obviously.
There's a distinct difference between protesting for a just cause and congregating together just to splurt memes in public and dress up like idiots.

So... protesting against Scientology isn't a just cause?

Of course. Don't you know what rickrolling can do to demons?

You honestly believe this conglomerate of newfags will achieve anything against a worldwide cult?

Let's see... worldwide media attention, public pressure on senators, letter writing campaigns, blah blah blah, blah blah blah.

It's better than god-damn apathy. ****, what's the point of protesting anything ever?

At least I don't have to convince you of the CoS's bastardry, I guess.

operation party hard, that's so lame.

but anyway church of scientology is so gay, they deserve this.

Scientology bashing is on par with democracy and civil rights, as a worthy protest. Also teenagers chanting 4chan nonsense is just as effective as mass protest rallies or mass marches.

Probably waiting for my graphics card this saturday.

Yeah? I won't be going to it simply to avoid meme-spam.
Don't you think a 4chan nonsense is stopping the protests from having wider appeal among the general population? I believe the protests would become a lot bigger if they weren't so baffling to 99% of people.

I dunno. If they went without the memes, I think it'd be as boring as shit.

The memes have their place; Anonymous is both a party and a protest. I hope the memes don't crash the entire damn thing though like they did in London.

Right, so Anon protests need to be entertaining and exclusive.

I'm not a fan of the meme usage, but I'd rather the protests be happening than not happening. I'll be going to the one in London, and anyone else who wants to join in is welcome to contact me.

Unless there's one conveniently close, then I'm not going :|

they may not change much with those stupid memes, but at least they're making people aware of the stupidity behind scientology

Because chanting rubbish that doesn't make sense gives the protesters and their cause such a sense of credibility -.-

i think it's kinda cute how they think they can change the world with some dumb internet jokes

edit: as for my previous post, maybe not directly, but at least in my case it lead to me studying some stuff about scientology and i realized it's a complete joke.

And before the protests you use to think Scientology had some good ideas?

Most likely he was ignorant of what their ideas were.

hell no. like eejit said i didn't care. well i still don't care, but now i know they're stupid as hell.

Yeah I'm joining a protest on the 15.

Yeah, a lot of them are stupid and don't really have any idea what they're doing, but if they can open the gates -- Like they've actually done with criticism of Scientology, it's a worthy cause. They're both quite stupid, but Scientology is plain evil, so that evens it out a little bit.

Well, this is proof that they ARE indeed making an impact. I didnt know shit about the cult until this started (except for what i learned from South Park, which I didnt really believe). Bringing about awareness is the whole ****ing point of protests.

To some extent, however this forum is hardly a representative sample of the average population when it comes to awareness of Anon activities.

What if the person now aware of the evils of Scientology had no intention of joining it?

1) Do you see anyone else mounting a protest?

2) Do you honestly believe anonymous would even be doing this if they didn't find it entertaining?

3) Where's your ****ing protest?

I think it's silly to wear masks at such events out of fear. Fear, and they win.

Well, they would also benefit quite a lot from taking pictures of you and then harassing people you know.

They are not going to find out who I am by a simple picture, at least it is unlikely, and imagine, if we all don't wear masks, what are they going to do? Take the time to harass all of us? Screw that, if I am taking my time to protest an injustice, I'll be sure to show my face.

I would be more inclined to protest this if it wasn't associated with Anon.

But it looks SO CASH man! Plus we could pick up cute girls and impress them with our meme vocabulary ^_^

haha, you know it.

What if the person now aware of the evils of Scientology had no intention of joining it?

So what? Is there any harm in it? Maybe now if they have a friend considering joining, they will try to convince them not to. No harm comes from having the knowledge.
