Are your teeth flat on one side?

I was just flossing my teeth in the mirror and I noticed that my teeth were all flat on my left side, and pointy on the right side. If I clench them on the right they make a kinda zigzaggy connection, but if I clench them on the left they all line up on top of eachother in a flat line. I think I used to grind my teeth and wore them all down on one side. I am wondering if it is a normal thing for chewing on one side and ripping with the other or if I just destroyed my teeth as a child by grinding them.

Grinding your teeth will wear them down over time. Depending on how your jaw was aligned originally, you'd notice it more on one side. Gotta be careful with that, as you get older, your teeth could develop small cracks and fissures and then you'll get broken teeth.. and it's all downhill from there.

From a grinder, don't do it. Get the mouthguards if you have to (from dentist), but.. don't... grind. Or, ask for Valium to help you unwind! :D

Of course, I'm just interpreting from your description, that it's your molars... if it's your front teeth, then, I'm not sure. You should have some pointy teeth for ripping, but they are the ones towards the front.. I think.

I stopped grinding a long time ago, when I was 10 or 12 maybe. The flat teeth go right to my canines, so one canine is pointy on the right side, and the one on the left is flat.

I have rounded teeth, and I hate it. I'm envious of all people with teeth like:

My teeth are straight (four years of braces), but they're rounded at the bottom. I'm talking of my two front teeth, of course.

That person looks like Michael Jackson. I think it is the lack of the dimple thing underneath their nose.

I totally just went to check it out... mine are opposite. Left is pointier than right. Weird. That's as scientific as I can get. I'd consult an actual dentist.

wait, left side on the person that you see in the mirror or on the left side of your actual face?

My teeth are pretty even. I sucked my thumb when I was little which everyone thought would make my teeth funny but luckily they're ok.

that person in the mirror is you

No, the person in the mirror is you with everything flipped around. If you have a scar on your right cheek, the person in the mirror has a scar on their left cheek.

Yea, get a night-time mouthgard. I never knew how much I grinded my teeth until I got one, I demolished it in a month. I never had any of the symptoms of grinding, either (sore jaw, cracked teeth, etc), so you should watch out, it could be more serious then you think..

That's not true at all, Dan. What's left on the mirror represents whats left relative to your viewing angle.

I actually meant my actual left vs. my actual right. I did all that crazy mirror-image converting for you. I'm nice like that. Sometimes.

read what I said, then draw a scar on your face and go look in the mirror and you will see that I am right... or is that left? No, I am right.
