I can't find anywhere that sells some cool looking armour, I want a matching set that offers good protection :(

I can't find any armour worth taking legitimately from the fighters guild buildings either :(

Help me protect myself!

You just gotta level up, dude. Complete quests. Eventually, you'll start finding better and better armor. Why, with a couple days play, you oughta have yourself a nice shiny suit of glass armor!

Good looking armor starts showing up around level 10+. Stuff like Chainmail, Dwarf and the occasional Ebony Armor set! :o

Just keep raiding a fort full of bandits.

Yes, daedric is better than ebony. I'm level 32 and I haven't found anything better than daedric, except for rare items - but they look just like daedric so it matches. For example, I've found swords and shields that are enchanted that do not have the word daedric in their name, but look just like the daedric equivalent.

In case you didn't notice, there is an armor number rating in the TAB menu showing your total armor value. In the area where it shows how much weight you are carrying, and how much money you have, in the middle there is a shield icon; next to this shield is your current armor rating.

Also, there is a monetary value [coin], weight [feather], protection value [shield], and finally a condition value [heart] when you press TAB to view the armor. The protection value shows how much armor it offers. The higher the number, the better the protection the armor offers. The condition of the armor [heart] effects how much protection it offers as well. Damaged armor doesn't protect as well.

I dont think there's enough types or changes in armour style in oblivion, aside from looking like various guards.

You can also get an armour boost from leveling up your armourer/repair skill.
Get it past 75 and you can repair armour and weapons beyond their normal protection/damage range.

I have an armour releted question. Which is better, the steel armour (complete set) or the heavy armour you get when you complete the arena fights?

I have a ring of shield, I can put on some rags and still have 85 defense. Lol = P

Wow thats a nice ring, how is that working out for you?

I think I have an armor class of about 85 fully suited so CookieCuttah, your ring would double my armor class, and my armor class is already high.

But honestly, I couldn't trade one of my two rings for it, I have found the Ring of Perfection (+10 to all stats) and Ring of Treachery (+10 to five skills).

It's a shame you can only wear two rings. I have found a 100% cold resist ring, the kahjitt ring, sneak ring, steelskin ring, ring of strength, and a few other decent ones like constant night-eye.

It's actually good I can't equip all of my rings because the game has gotten WAY too easy as it is. I remember when fights were a challenge and I had to be careful or be killed if I didn't use some potions sometimes, but now I'm way too powerful.

I hope that soon enough, the enemies will get harder again or I'm going to turn up the difficulty. The other day I gathered up 7 or 8 guards to hit me all at the same time for what was probably 4 or 5 minutes without blocking or anything to see how long I could withstand it and my health was finally getting low, and I can still come back from this to kill them all if I use all means necessary.

I can literally allow an enemy to pound on me until infinity and he could never kill me. I've tried it. After about 4 minutes of an enemy pounding the shit out of my armor, my armor would be broken but I have about 110 endurance and my wisdom is damn near there, so I can just heal whenever I need and still keep my health maxed. I've tried it. Meanwhile, I can kill the guards in under 6 strong hits, and any other enemy in under 4.

By the time my health comes down a little, I can heal. My wisdom is so high, my magic comes back almost instantly. I can never die!

Sorry for bragging so much - I guess that's what it might seem like I was doing. Really, I'm just wondering how everyone else is doing now. I remember Sinkoman was complaining it was hard at first, but then said it was getting easier. Thats what happend to me.

What about any of you? Has the game become too easy for you as well? Has anyone increased the difficulty? I might put it all the way up and see if I can't get my ass kicked. :burp:

It's so impossible to level up armourer, now that i'm wearing enchanted shit. I gotta find an armourer trainer >>

Really, I found armored to be the easiest to level up of them all. True at the beginning, you gotta buy a lot of hammers, but they are relativily cheap. Once you get around 40 level, they stop breaking so easily and once you start repairing all armor (even the one that you'll end up selling) that skill just takes off. I just reached 75, and my armor went from being protection 60 to 90.

Virus type, I would have like 120 Armor class if the armor wasn't capped at 85. Yep, it's true.. Check it your self.

I myself would be able to take a pounding for like 5 minutes, but I have 40% reflection, anything that pounds at me dies before I do.

As for leveling armorer I actually did it with alchemy and my hand to hand, id run in a cave shoot an arrow with poison of fatigue on it. Then id run out let em fall over and keep beating them with my fists while they lay on the ground. Then after a long beating id take their armor, repair it and throw it away. Lol = D

Leveling up armor is the easiest thing ever for me. Admittedly, I was stuck in the mid-40's for a while, because almost all my armor was magical, but I remedied that by temporarily suiting up in unenchanted armor.

Just find bandits marauders and the like. Beat them and repair the armour they were wearing.

Alternatively, there is a spell that damages your opponents armour, use it on them before you kill em and you can repair as much as you want/need.

Hmm. No shit? I didn't know that. So my armor is maxed :(

So, in that case, that ring would be so ****ing awesome for a character who wears robes, hoods, and enchanted shoes. So they would have maxed armor class while not even wearing any armor.

LOL awesome. What item do you have that does that? Don't tell me where or how you got it though, please. Just wondering what it's called and what item type it is.

Partially it's some enchantement and the other 35% is estuchion (SP) of chorrol, a shield. The name it self will give you just a little hint of where it is obtained, but that's only where the end and middle of the quest happens, it's pretty long.. So you wont know till you find out your self! = P.
