There is such thing as split-screen for PC though. Not that I like the idea, generally speaking, but Half-Life 2 is so awesome that I'd consider it if it were available.

To answer your question, no. There are a couple of co-op mods out but they suck ass and the servers are usually empty. The only promising-looking mod is Sven Coop 2, but the developers claim it hasn't even been worked on in months, so it's anyone's guess when or IF it ever comes out.

new maps? im looking for something that can let me play the hole "story mode " with at least 2 people... you know... ridding the train, getting hooked up with the HEV, go'n in to the test chamber, getting all zapped and what not... then evey bodys dead, beat'n on zombie guys with a crow bar... and running all around black mesa till i get to the top then run around for a while up there till get to the other side... then find some old guy and get zapped again and head on over to that creepy place and fight that nut sack with legs... then fight some more weird things till that with nice suite and crew cut come out and tells me stuff and i rudely reply with nothing... then i go blind... and do it all with my best bud! anything like that?

It'd kinda be wierd since in third person Gordon is that wierd gray thing. It's times like these that I wish they made a skin for him.

thank you... i do what i can... oh and yes i was talking about HL1 cuz they said there where no HL2 co-op mods, just a HL1... but they where all talking about servers and new maps and what not... and that doesnt sound like what im looking for..

Yes you can play through the hl1 story on SC with a friend or two, however its pretty poor as it has to load every couple of minutes because most people just run through the area

My recollection is that Sven-Coop HL1 can be pretty fun, but also pretty confusing in the less linear chapters like Blast Pit / Power Up, where you progress in a bizarre way through the maps which can be very disorienating...

I loved SC1 for all the custom made maps and their story's, i extremely enjoyed some custom Resident Evil ones set about the mansion etc etc .. was great fun with some good friends on ts2
