1. They are showing in 2 booths, but people believe the other book is for a closed business room. Secondly Vinvendi and valve are showing off in the exact same hall 1200 south hall.

2. Kristen Perry works on TF2 and she has her own website. http://www.valvesoftware.com/people.htm from there she has her art website and she usually updates it a lot but she just recently did in the past week and there hasnt been an update for months before that and she mainly says sorry she has been hard at work.

I'm thinking there is a possiblity TF2 will be shown but also doubting it at the same time because of the recent quote from lombardi saying they would release more info about the release of Half Life 2. What do you guys think about the possible outcome of E3?

I get the feeling they will mention TF2 but not actually show anything. Although its just a feeling.

Ok, pardon my noobness but what is the big deal with team fortress 2? Is it in the half life 2 engine or something? I played TFC a long time a go... pretty cool game and i have been hearing a lot about this TF2. Could someoen please explain the whole thing to me?

Did this really need a new thread? Post it in the 2 booths at E3 thread, sheesh.

TF is a mod origionally made for Quake. It is a Class based shooter with CTF maps aswell as other scenarios.(Attack/Defend and Guard the Hunted)
Team Fortress Classic is the HL version of TF which has been going since HL release(How long exactly?)A great and enjoyable game which I must say was the first game I ever played online.
It was soon revealed that there was to be a sequel TF2:Brotherhood of Arms(Origionally it was to be shiped first however Valve made it and released it)which was to use the HL engine. Now here we enter vaporware territory as TF2 went through development it was revealed there was to be an engine change to an engine being made by Valve.(Which we now know to be source)After that it kinda fell off the edge of the world only resurfaceing once with the announcement of Power Play which I think was a precurser to Steam. As I said it gets vaque.

So thats my take on TF history, its probly wrong on numerous points but someone will hopefully correct any major ones

Thats taken from another post of mine which should(Hopefully if I havent made too many errors)shed some light on why,to some of us,TF2 is important.

i dont like TF :( it just seems...boring
Don't worry, it's just not your taste. :)
Currently I play Sven Coop, I recomend you all check it out, lotsa fun.

TF2 might be pretty good, is it done on Source?

I think they want to build up the HL2 hype again, and I don't think that they're gonna introduce a new game that may draw some of the attention away from HL2.
It would be like competing with yourself.

TF was the first of the good team games :O TFC was an excellent port of it, and TF2 should be the next evolution of a class based team game, RTCW/ET made a good stab at it to, I love that style of play, but id rather they just dealt with HL2 first.

maybe the person was busy on....ya know....that game....what is it....Oh Yeah! HALF-LIFE 2!!!! :rolling:

Haha. That kinda defeats the idea of the game. :D
In that case I might check this game out, anything with Physics is cool by me. :) (Except Farcry) ;)

Imagine that TF2 comes out, and the servers are as plentiful as TFC ones are now. . . that would be depressing.

It should drag some CS and retired Tfc players out of the woodwork. And middleschoolers who are getting their first exposure to shooters through HL2. I got into games through halflife. cs and tfc were what got me hooked onto multiplayer over the net.

Profound impact ;D

Perhaps Valve was pretending to push back HL2 and TF2, but at E3 Valve will surprise us by saying it will release the game in two weeks. :D
