ATI 9800xt and HL2

I bought a pc and it had a 9800xt. I didnt get a HL2 voucher though. I emailed the place i bought it from and they said that i didnt get a voucher because they get their cards from sapphire. Is this true? Also there is no mention of sapphire on the card or the manuals.

yer....thing is, if its saphire, it shoud have one. Thing is tho, depending on when they got the card, depends if the box came with a Voucher init!

Yea, im happy that i got HL2 for free with my Asus V9800pro BUT the card SUCKS. It wont run (even after 4 new driver released) under linux with 3D accelartion enabled.

This was the first and last time ive bought crap from ATI.

Only on the 9600XT IIRC, my recently purchased ASUS 9800XT came with the voucher.

I think he meant that it sucks because it won't run under linux. I have an ATI A-I-W 9800Pro and it works great.

9800 pro sucks? What a butt pirate. I have a 9800 pro, and although there are times I wish I had a better card, I certainly don't consider it crap.
