yeah but doesn't the latest ATI card blow this card out of the water?? I'd still stick with NVidia because I've always had success with their cards and this does sound very quiet and efficient.

They're about even. The ATI card is just really loud with it's cooler, but much less power hungry.

This. I find it hard to get excited over a card that's burning up at 84c as soon as a game loads, and the GPU thinks its cool enough to only use 50% of the fan. **** quiet when it comes to keeping parts cool. Especially a $700+ part. I'll take a jet turbine so long as my computer runs cool.

I think mainly it's because the Fan speed is so low.
When I play current games I have my fan always set at 89%
