No idea if somebody here can relate to what i’m writing.
Shortly: not much fun for me right now playing HL2 deathmatch
1st I’m living in SE-Asia and there are only a few servers online now with a ‘kind-of-ok-ping’.
I’m talking about 100plus for me here, mostly Australian servers as far as I can see.
And those servers seem to be full of idiots most of the time.
People screaming at you if you use rpg or orb.
What a bullshit. It’s a weapon like any other with advantages and disadvantages.
Should I scream at somebody with ping 5 (and maybe enhanced crosshair) using revolver?
Or hypermining?
It’s a game and the objective should be to win using all the means the games offers you LEGALLY.
Using exploits are cheating for me no matter what.
Another personal negative favorite is the mani admin plugin quite few servers run.
I have no idea why, but it offers ‘forgive’ options like firebomb etc.
Makes no sense at all. Teamkilling in deathmatch? Every noob can kill you pushing the button easy after u kill him. Beside this there seems to be a bug. It’s still firebomb after re-spawn and half of the time the game crashes because of this shit.
Yesterday I’ve had another bad experience running into some noob complaining about the usage of WMD. As bad as he played as good he was haxing.
He went in and out of Spectator mode and managed somehow to freeze me.
Really sucks right now and here.
Seems VAC is not as good as it claims to be.
My dream: having a LAN game with fast ping with a round of strong players. original setup. no scripts. no cheats, no mods, no bullshit. just game.
