We didn't see screenshots of anything else then Alyx and a stalker until some weeks before release IIRC.

At least make it a scripted sequence where Barney gets killed when another key NPC is around to see it (Like Alyx or someone) and therefore react to it in a very depressing manner. I demand depressing music too. And for the love of god, I hope they don't make the death offscreen!

Of course, this is all IF Barney dies.

Valve are clever like this.. if you notice main characters never really die in the games, but they make it look like they will and leave you in suspense. Like at the end of Half life 2 everybody thinks Alyx is dead and possibly Eli and Mossman. But no, they survive. Valve like keeping you in suspense. When I first saw the e2 trailors i was depressed because I believed that Alyx will die just like at the end of half life 2. But then i realised that valve wouldn't kill off the main characters, at least not until the end of the episodes so long as they are still continuing the story line. However, if a character is to die in this one I reckon it will be Mossman. The trailor speaks for itself. *Mossman talking to Ely and Kleiner on the screen then combine burst in and camera cuts out. "We should never have let her go" says a disheartened Ely* I don't think Barney will die, it would end the Barney-Kleiner friendship which never fails to make me laugh. Quite personally I have grown attached to all the characters and would be depressed to see any of them die.

If Barney was too die, he shouldn't have such a rubbish death as getting shot, he should do something herioc at least. I don't know what, but an equation along the lines of explosive device + big enemy or something. Nothing to cliche like ''You go ahead, I'll stay here in defensive position!''

I would prefer Alyx be the one die. Kleiner and Barney are my main men, or homey g's as some of you put it. My second pick would be Mossman. No I'm not sexist for picking the girls out to die.
