In Ep 1, at the train station I saw marks and punctures on Barney's head similar to the ones on a stripped combine solider' head. Mabye Barney will come back as a combine soldier or spy. Any comments?

PS: Its just a theory, so dont bitch about it.
 
I doubt it. He's been fighting for over a week, that's where the marks come from.
 
Not only would that be really silly and unapealing to the fans, but it wouldn't make much sense at all.

Well, it really wouldnt make any sense. I just had this crackpot theory when I was playing one day.
 
I think its a perfectly logical theory, I was actually thinking about it myself yesterday about the possibility that barney could be a combine spy. All the reasons add up too, his ability to get access to places that other soldiers can get to, that ability not being shut off, the punctures. Maybe he is working for one of the combine higher ups and no one else knows. Maybe hes the gman...

The reason Barney had access to gates and shiz is because of his Civil Protection status.....i reckon he might die in EP2.......a nice sniper to the head......yeah......
 
Perhaps a sniper's bullet? Although a sniper to the head would be pretty damn funny, too...
 
Heh, I could actually see that happen. I don't think that is how it's going down, but it doesn't sound to bad when I think about it.

Maybe he is one of the characters that is going to bite the dust. I have thought of the possibility before that Barney is gonna die soon, but never understood how VALVe would be able to pull it off in a great way. That he's a traitor would be a good reason for the resistance to kill him off.

But... I don't think so. I can't picture Barney as a traitor.
 
Barney would never betray the resistance. Shame on you for even suggesting such a thing.

Girl fans say NOOOOOOOOO!!! Barney won't die! Well, he will, maybe, but not as a traitor. The only reason why he would betray the resistance will be a total surgery makeover and a brain transplantation. And I will throw all my cd's out in the window too. Other cd's, not HL2.
 
Like the eMo songs CD? that ill throw if he did not or even if he did betray the resistance, ill throw away all your eMo cds! Lol barney was my HL multiplayer(Old Half Life, no source)character For one whole year
 
maybe his cover is alredy blown. other wise he woludnt be running around in hl2 and ep1 with the combine suit on...:P
 
I think it's just battle scars.
I mean he has been fighting for a week it's not beyond the possibility that a brick hit him or he accidentally walked into a wall or something.

Not to mention the suppression device. It's so weird to see him walk calmly out of a ray of dissolving bodies. > >

You can't just build your whole argument on the fact that he has punctures and cuts on his head. He HAS been fighting for over a week. ;)

Besides ears, nose, mouth and eyes, I see no other holes in Barney's head.
