Toshiba has developed a battery that can be recharged in five minutes with a lifespan of 10 years.

Toshiba's Super Charge ion Battery (SCiB) is designed to lose less than 10 percent of its efficiency after 3,000 recharges.

10 years or 3,000 charges is pretty good for a battery.

Ah, I believe it's the entire lifespan of the battery, not the life of the charge, which was my initial assumption.

I studied electronics, but am unsure how "good" 4.2aH is. 4.2 amps is pretty high, so I'm assuming this runs machinery.

4.2aH = 4.2 amps for 1 hour. Or 1 amp for 4.2 hours. In theory; it may not be capable of having 4.2 amps drawn from it.

Ah that's what I figured it meant.

That's pretty cool but 4.2aH isn't even close to being able to power something like a laptop. Will be pretty damn cool for small electronics like iPods and cell phones.
