I work at BB.

First, the notice came out through the employee computer toolkit to break street date and sell HL2. Right afterwards, they pulled it. There is still a notice on the employee home page that says pull all HL2 immediatly, and you risk fines from the publisher if you sell.

I talked to the media (CD/DVD/Software/Console) department guys, and they said they put it out, sold two copies out to employees, then pulled it and forced the employees to return it.

Here's the kicker. Valve (not VU) actually called our store to ask if we were selling it, and the media guys told them not anymore.

I was under the impression that most BB's were selling for the greater part of Saturday. When I got there not many had sold...I wonder what happened at my store.

Best buy is full of crap, they intentionally told their employees around the country to break the street date so they could be the ones to sell it first... too bad the big boys upstairs didnt think that the game wouldnt be activated till release day. Idiots!
