bind console to another key

How can u bind the consoleto another key? What command do u have to use?
(i'm asking this because noneofthe buttons work. I selected the console in advanced settings, and it says i have to push ~ but no key seems to work.)

you have to put "-console" (without quotes) in the propreties. if you go to Steam, right click on HL2, click properties, click advanced...type in "-console" (without quotes) then you'll be able to use ~ as the console key.

are u asking to bind the Console to anotehr key? Or are u just asking to put it on a key in the first place... if you do what House said and hit the "~" key (its next to the Number 1 key on the top left of the keyboard) then it will bring it up
