Black screen...

Ok I just bought a new gcard an Nvidia Geforce 6200 i can run games like the Punisher fine in full graphics, I went to try HL2/CS:S and the screen goes black and starts flickering on and off tried changing my settings on the card but i have nothing so far someone please help me I just bought a new headset

Have you tried launching in window mode? I know you can do it, but I can't remember how.

Well it might help... because my computer used to restart once HL2 was restarted, but now when I launch in window mode, I can see an error message instead of windows restarting.
