lo,
i got a problum in my map, after i put a switch in the map that turned off/on the lights,the props went black, the props are black even when the lights are on.its like the props see the light as off,but every thing else sees them as on.
anyone know why?
 
use a logic_auto to cycle your lights on and off at the very start of the map.
 
sorry,im new to maping,could u explain a bit beter please,do i just put an "logic_auto" anywere in the map?
 
Place a logic_auto (anywhere will do, but I tend to put them somewhere memorable - building up your map logic visually is a great help). In the outputs, add "OnMapSpawn" with a target of whatever controls your lights to turn them off, then add another output to turn them back on after half a second.
 
i still cant get it to work,i must be doing something wrong..
 
i dont think u know what i mean,if i make a logic_auto,it wont do anything,turning the lights on and off dose nothing,what i mean is.
when i put the switch in the map,most of the props went black,regardless of me turning the lights on or off.so thats why a logic_auto wont help.
if i move the props to a different part of the room there fine,but if i do that then the room will look bear on one side.
 
Some should sticky this, its due to the cubemaps on the models. Once they are built they try writing to the bsp as a 20 when it was compile as a 19 bsp, messing up the lighting on the props.
everyone will be posting with this problem untill its fixed in the sdk update. Dont worry about it for now. (and dont build cudemaps)
